By getting Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) on the ramp, Lakme Fashion Week got unexpected focus this year. There were other high profile stars that brought lots of media attention to the event.

Naomi Campbell too was there as was Akshay Kumar and the reigning Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone.

In fact Bollywood stars overshadowed ramp models as they walked on ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week and the names included the top B-town people such as Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Naomi Campbell, and Farhan Akhtar. Tusshar Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza walked on ramp wearing the dresses designed by Manish Malhotra and Shahrukh Khan spoke out some “fishy sentences” over his experience as a celebrity walking on ramp.

‘Lakme Fashion Week’ got almost 189 applications for Gen Next and 44 applications for the section of Emerging Fashion Designers from various cities of the country. The thereparticipants from Bollywood who walked on ramp got noticed for their varying gestures and the guests included famous politicians, businessmen and Bollywood stars.

Narendra Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Asin, Riteish Deshmukh, Gauri Khan Sophie Chaudhary, Sri Devi, Parmeshwar Godrej, Gauri Khan, Boney Kapoor, Hrithik, Sussanne, Kareena Kapoor, Sophie Chaudhary, Karan Johar, Kajol, Tanisha, Nawaz Modi Singhania, Vikram Chatwal, Preity Zinta, Arjun and Mehr were the front seaters of the Fashion event.

The famous lines of the event were when Shahrukh Khan walked on ramp and he said he was asked to suck his cheeks in to look angry but when he did it he was told that he looked like a “fish starved of sex.” Another noticeable feature of the event was that when Deepika Padukone walked on ramp, some of the top Bollywood stars who had been cheering for all gave a cold shoulder and the reason was just unknown. A few others felt it was Deepika’s attitude is being disliked in B-town.

When Deepika was sitting with other Bollywood stars none of the actors or actresses looked interested in talking to her. Deepika completed walking on ramp and later she talked to Sridevi for some time although the Fashion event had guests such as Preity Zinta and Asin sitting close to her, to whom she could have talked.
