‘Stranger Things 4’: OTT giant adds warning card to show’s premiere following Texas school shooting – Times of India

Netflix Added a warning label to “Stranger Things 4The premiere follows a school shooting in Texas.

The warning card reads, “We filmed this season of Stranger Things a year ago. But due to the recent tragic shooting at a Texas school, viewers may find the opening scene of episode one heartbreaking. We are deeply saddened by this unspeakable violence, and our hearts go out to each other.” A family grieves for the one you love.

That warning will appear before the auto-playing recap of the previous season at the start of the first episode of “Stranger Things 4” for US viewers only, Variety reported.

Netflix also edited the description of the premiere to include the note, “Warning: Contains graphic violence involving children,” and added “disturbing visuals” to the show’s rating guidelines.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (local time) after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Ovaldi, Texas. The gunman killed at least 19 children and two adults

The gunman was later killed by law enforcement officers.
