NDPS court grants Rhea Chakraborty permission to travel abroad – Times of India


Riya Chakraborty She applied to travel abroad for an international event and her petition was accepted. The artist received her passport and was allowed to travel for a limited time to Abu Dhabi. Riya was asked to provide her itinerary and travel details, and was only allowed to travel from June 2 to June 5. The actress was also asked to report to the Indian Embassy on a daily basis to attend and provide a cash security deposit of Rs 1 lakh.

Referring to the damage caused by the NDPS case, Rhea’s application for travel permission stated, “Because of the current criminal prosecution and the surrounding circumstances, the plaintiff has already suffered significant setbacks in her representative work and incurred significant financial losses. Hence, such opportunities are very important for the for the prospects of future applicants in the film industry and significantly affects their ability to earn a living. It would not be out of place to mention that the parents of elderly applicants are also financially dependent on them. The applicant is permanently residing in Mumbai and has deep roots in the community. Thus, there is no Reason to believe that she will flee or evade justice.”

In September last year, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by Narcotics Control Office (NCB) for allegedly buying drugs for her late boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. A month later, the actress was released on bail by Supreme court.
