‘Theatre Doesn’t Differentiate Over Caste or Religion’: Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram was a huge hit in theaters, and the movie got positive reviews from all angles for its thrilling elements. During promotions, at a recent event, Kamal spoke about his love for the theater.

Kamal told him the theater feels like a great place. Kamal believes that theater does not differentiate between a person’s class and religion. The star had hoped that the audience would praise Vikram and go to theaters in droves to watch it.

Vikram tells the story of Amar, Santanam, Karnan and a masked man. The plot of the film revolves around a disappearing cocaine container, followed by a few murders. Ammar takes over the case and goes undercover with his investigation team. During the investigation, Ammar learned about Kernan and the masker.

Santanam a fierce drug dealer wants this container. How do Amar, Santanam and Karnan intersect in each other’s paths? What does Karnan want? Will Karnan be able to achieve this impulse? These questions will be answered in Vikram.

Fahd Fasil is the one who enacted the character of Ammar. Vijay Sethupati enacted the role of Santanam. Kamal enacted Karnan’s character. Besides these three actors, Gayatri, Shivani Narayanan, Anthony Varghese, Naren, Champagne Vinod Jose and others are also part of this movie.

Vikram is funded by Raajkamal Films International. Vikram’s music, composed by Anirudh Ravicander, has struck a chord with the audience. The veil of Syria is also appreciated. However, the film also drew criticism for its length of time.

Watching Vikram’s impressive performance, reports are pouring in that he could easily earn Rs 60-65 crore today. Some said he could collect Rs 130-140 crore in a weekend, others even said Vikram could cross a total of Rs 150 crore in the first three days.
