Copyright Infringement case: Karan Johar movie to be screened in court before release – Times of India

In a case of alleged copyright infringement, a Ranchi commercial court has ordered an upcoming Bollywood movie to be shown before its theatrical release on June 24.

Singh claimed that the content of his story “Pony Rani” was used in the film without attributing any credibility and sought to stop the film’s release. He also demanded compensation of Rs 1.5 crore. After the court presentation, Judge MC Jha will continue the arguments and decide whether or not the film is in violation of copyright law.
