Veteran actress and Member of Parliament, Hema Malini, has expressed her concerns about the road conditions in Mumbai. During her latest outing in the country’s entertainment capital, the evergreen singer appears to have been hit by unpleasant situations due to traffic and potholes.
While interacting with ETimes, Hema Malini spoke about the worrying situation in Mumbai and said she could not imagine the situation of a pregnant woman traveling on potholed roads, adding that what worries her is Mumbaikar’s concern and “the job of the police is to control traffic and guide those who travel by road” .
Hema Malini also compared the metropolitan city with Delhi and Mathura, claiming that although the latter cities had traffic problems, things were simplified there. She was traveling on the Juhu Road to China Creek and Daisar. Although it wasn’t her first time down this road, her previous experiences weren’t as difficult as her most recent. Hema Malini concluded, “We have traveled a lot on these shooting roads, but now it is very difficult. Today’s experience makes me say, Mumbai kya tha kya ho gaya hai. (I don’t know what happened to Mumbai).”
This comes just a day after a BJP representative congratulated the new Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Eknath Shinde via Twitter. Hema Malini wrote on the micro-blogging site: “Heartfelt congratulations to Shri Eknath Shinde on his assumption of the position of Director of the Maharashtra State Department and to Shri Fadnavis on becoming Principal of Dy CM.”
