Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Actress Ketki Dave, who lost her husband Rasik Dave two days ago, is back at work because she “doesn’t want anyone to suffer because of her”. Rasik had kidney disease and had been on dialysis for the past two years. He died at the age of 65 on July 28.
Speaking to ETimes, Ketki confirmed that she resumed work on July 30 and said she did not want people to be a part of her grief and should be included in one’s happiness.
The actress also stated that she has been trained since childhood to ensure that her professional work is not affected by her personal life. She told the publication that she wrote at work even when she was sick. “The project does not involve me alone. It involves the whole team. The shows are pre-booked and I don’t want anyone to suffer because of me.”
As Ketki has spoken about how she has dealt with her personal grief and her work, she stated that it was only Ketki Dave, the actress, after she stepped onto the stage. Actress Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya also added that she immediately enters the character as soon as filming begins.

Ketke and Rasik have been married for more than four decades. The two shared screen space on the reality TV show Nach Baliye in 2006. The duo have two children – daughter Riddhi Dave, who is also an actress and son of Abhishek Dave.
Ketki’s popularity soared after she played the role of Daksha in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She has also appeared in films like Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupiya, among them.
